Engineering How z-index: 9999 Broke the iOS Status Bar on My Website
A nearly invisible CSS overlay with z-index: 9999 caused content to bleed through the iOS Safari status bar. Seven failed fix attempts later, here's what actually worked.
A Gen Z, but with 7+ years of professional experience in enterprise development and war stories that could fill a conference or two. In the wise age of my mid-20s, I ditched the security of corp (Evil Corp, if you ask me) in search of greatness - which currently consists of leading a team of amazing developers, and raising a product or two of my own... Each one destined to grow into a big, beautiful unicorn_

I lead Codexio's tech team – amazing developers (like me) who definitely know what they're doing. When interesting projects come up, I usually bring the crew – we ship faster and break fewer things together.
Beyond that: Black Pine Works is taking on select web and brand projects, our own products keep getting features that I woke up and thought were genius, Codexio's Java Beer Summit lands at Toplocentrala this August (sponsor slots are open), and there are two conference talks in the pipeline — come say hi.
If something interesting lands on my desk, we'll figure out the setup_
